We are falling behind on our crafts. We aplolgize with all of our hearts and souls! We promise (with our fingers crossed and hidden behind our backs) that we will not be late again!
Due to the mass amount of snow and the Colts losing the superbowl it's been an off week for both of us! There is always next year...GO COLTS!

I hate resoultions!- Courtney
I've never made New Years resoultions. I hate New Years resoultions! I find them as disturbing as starting a diet on a Monday! I've never lost weight on a diet I've started on a Monday. I've never fooled myself into believe that confessing obvious statements on Januray first would make me skinnier or richer. It was heather's turn to the pick the craft. She does believe and who am I to tell her not to!
Obvious statement...I mean resoultion 1-Be a better me!
I know you think I really don't have room for improvement. I want to step out of my box this year. I want to take chances, be brave! Maybe I'll get crazy and hug a clown or listen to an ENTIRE Phil Collins song! Maybe I'll just pet a strangers dog...WHO knows..
Number 2- Save Money!
I've been trying to grow money trees for years now but I'm failing! I wouldn't say I'm a huge spender, but I'm even less of a saver! I've pleadge to actually pay attention to what I'm spending and SAVE! I set up an automatic withdraw into a savings account! Now every payday is also a save day! In one month I've saved $350. NOT TO SHABBY!
Number 3-Better Health
Last year I took huge steps in towards better health but sometimes it's just not enough! I'm going to get moving! I'm going to pay attention to the amount of food I consume! I'm taking my mini training seriously! When the clock strikes 12 on Jan 1, 2011, I'm going to be able to say, "Im in the best health I've ever been, EVER".
Last but not least- Wear lip stick/gloss
Sexy....Coco! Lipstick has always been my arch enemy! One false move and your teeth are now pink! Why is lipstick so intemidating? The fear of having it on my teeth and no one telling me keeps me up at night! This year I'm going to intemidate lipstick! Right now I'm starting off with a light gloss...by the end of the year RED...BRIGHT RED!
Now the question...who won...ME OR THE CRAFT WORLD...

Craft world .75
CRAFT 3 was my turn to choose. I found these cute little books in the $1 section of Michaels. I LOVEtheir dollar section. If you never need a fun little things especially little note pads they have it there. Lots of things w/ intials on it too. Fun stocking stuffers and easter basket fillers, hostess gifts, loner prizes for card games,etc.
So my idea for this book was to put our resolutions in it creatively. We each chose 4 things we want to work on in 2010. There are MANY things that I need/want to work on. Not only am I going to make a conscious effort on these 4 things as well as a few others too not on these pages.
This is the cover page. You know me and the bling bling thought a page of jewels would be the perfect cover for my resolution book.
I CANNOT cook. I CAN eat. (see following 2 resolutions) I am very good at take out. I use to bake cookies and brownies pretty well growing up. But, I did have a HORRIBLE experience attempting to making a meatloaf for the family once. I HATE the idea of touching raw meat. I was "helping" mom out and making a meatloaf for dinner and didn't mix it together that well. Let's be truthful i didn't mix it together at ALL. Raw Meat Freaks Me Out, people! Needless to say it was not edible what so ever!
Then there was a Friends-giving (Dinner with friends the day after Thanksgiving) a couple years ago. I was suppose to bring new potatoes. So I went to Boston Market and got two large sides of new potatoes. Took them out of the plastic containers,but them in a fancy Pampered Chef serving dish and TA DA! Freshly made side dish a la Heathy! They were a HUGE hit. Everyone wanted the recipe. Sis was the only one that new what I had done, and was like "yeah do tell. how did you make these?" BUSTED! I made something up but a few minutes later I came clean and told them that I had done. So my goal is to find a recipe and become good at it. Any suggestions? Let me know if you have one!
2nd Goal- Eat Healthy. I know what I should be eating. I love fruits and vegetables. Now I just need to eat them more often!
Then along with Eating Healthier I need to:
Everyone else seems to have a workout regiment and have plenty time for it and whatever else they want to do. So now it is time for me to do the same.
As my mom always says " Get out there, the Boyfriend Bus isn't just gonna drop one off to you. I am very comfortable with my singledom,but I would like to have a special guy to share my life with. Too bad that lucky bastard hasn't found me yet. Who knows, maybe when I go to the grocery to get the healthy ingredients for the meal I make after the workout I made time for I will run into him! ;)
2*0*1*0 will be the year of the DO FOR HEATHER. I need to stop talking and start doing.
With that being said. Its time for me to do craft #4. Which will include all of the below:

PINCH ME! AM I DREAMING?
I had a dream that one day i would have a sister that would craft w/me. That day has come people!
Coco, the ANTI-craft has became a C*R*A*F*T*E*R! A rather good crafter too i might add!
I have yet to get her to go garage sales or to the flea markets. We're taking it in baby steps, baby.
Although I am so exited sissy wants to craft,too. I want her to like crafting actually i want her to LOVE! crafting like I do.
She has made a trip or two to goodwill w/ me and she has even started going to HOBBY LOBBY. Wait for it. . . . . . .here it comes.... by herself! She did! No lies folks & she lived to tell! She went and picked our 2nd craft out.
I love that sis is crafting so much that I am dedicating this 2nd craft to her.
I love crafting and so does sis! YEAH!

How am I to even begin to match creative writing wits with my sister? I mean can't you just picture her coming up the stairs with that pillow over her head and then continuing to do a victory lap around my parents kitchen island?! That's good stuff people!
I on the other hand got 1/4 of pillow sewed because I broke the machine's needle right in HALF!It was a flash back to 8th grade sewing with Mrs. Frazier when I sewed the pressor foot to my gray lopsided sweatshirt! Which by the way I didn't fail that project. I still think to this day that Mrs. Frazier felt sorry for me and gave me a pity grade than the failing grade i clearly deserved. But then again it did take some talent to sew a whole pressor foot in to the neckline of a gray sweatshirt. I couldn't eve begin to wear it for extra credit. Who does that? THIS GIRL!

Notice the missing needle! This project is TO BE CONTINUED..........Stay tuned if i can get over my inability to sew. Its me versus the sewing machine and the machine is winning! BOO!

Heather were art thou?
Heather Oh Heather...were are thou?
There is she is!
You're missing blogs are missed! It looks like Courtney the first time crafter is kicking her first time blog! Now we are going to have to hear the excuse that she doesn't have a computer at her house. Courtney and the rest of our 5 readers should know that she has been around a computer and sewing machine. The machine will tell you that he tried to make a pillow but Heather shamelessly broke the needle!
If you have seen Heather's LOVE...you would love it. Trust me when I say it's more clean and polished then Courtney's. You can tell Heather has be crafty for awhile!
We are going to step back from the Valentine's theme and di-gress. We are going to do resoultion books. We are going to pick 5 things that we plan on doing in 2010! Why five? Well there is only 5 pages in the book, so it made sense!
So our next blog will me our promise to 2010...let life begin!

Method of modern love..
M-E-T-H-O-D method of modern love...I love that song! But then who doesn't?
When you last saw my love.
And then she was....
This is when I FREAKED OUT! I need to find my inner "ness". My craftness, my smartness, my creativeness, but mostly I need to find my Courtness! I knew that Heather was in her craft room finding all kinds of AWESOME stuff! I was pretty sure when she was done you would be able to see her LOVE from the moon! I didn't know HOW I was going match her skill set....
NOT TO SHABBY! Now remember I'm still in my Rookie year! Even though I am in Love with Love, I would change some things about her.
1. I would have not used the clear rocks. I would have used something a little thinner and smaller!
2. I would have used glue spray with the glitter. Although, I'm lovin the glitz and wouldn't take it off. I think the glue spray would have had less clumps!
3.My O was a little weak! It's true. I had no clue what to do with it!
Those are three simple mistakes that any first time crafter could make. If I knew every thing about crafting this blog would be null and void. There would be no room to grow.
So the question is who won the battle me or the craft world? I going with a 75% me, 25% craft world.
